Last night Mark, myself, Callie, and some amazing friends worked together to price out an entire cow and pig! It was really fun teaching Callie, also yielding a bounty of cuts of meat and pork. Our commitment to raising grain-fed pigs and grass-fed, corn-finished cows ensures that every bite is packed with flavor. The corn finishing process adds a nice marbling, making each cut truly exceptional.
Mark's dedication to growing and baling our own hay on the property is inspiring, and we're grateful for the support of our friends at Greener Acres Farms. These hardworking dairy farmers embody the spirit of community and perseverance. Their commitment to selling raw milk, meat, and other products through their cozy store, which operates on the honor system, is truly admirable.
We're also proud to grow our own corn, which is planted, harvested, and chopped with the help of many generous friends. The Kimball family's donation of land for our cornfield is a testament to the power of community and friendship.
My 11-year-old daughter Callie is taking on new responsibilities, including managing the Cedar Hill Farm socials and working in the store. We're excited to reopen our store, starting this Sunday from 11 am to 3 pm, and we invite you all to come and show your support. Your encouragement will mean the world to Callie as she takes on this new challenge.
Rebounding from a tough year in 2020, we're filled with hope and determination. The unexpected loss of our beloved Dad, Papa, Husband, and Father-in-law was devastating, and my main focus was the kids, so I had to put the store on the back burner, but we're committed to rebuilding and finding success again. We're grateful for your understanding and support during that difficult time.
