Today Luke is applying a blend of nitrogen, sulfur, zinc, and boron along with an additive to prevent leaching to the triticale. Triticale is a mix of rye and wheat. The dairy cows up the road will sure love this once it is chopped and made into silage.

Doing some No Till planting this fine afternoon.

A new practice that we are trying this year is strip till. We work up right where the plants are going to be planted and leave the soil structure undisturbed across the rest of the field while placing a little bit of fertilizer down in that root zone as well. It took us a while to get this machine figured out, but it’s starting to come together now.

One more day of yuck weather and we are headed to the field. Equipment is serviced and shined up. Many thanks to TC for the sale of four totes of 10% Boron.
Spring is coming!
