For the past few months, I’ve been quiet on here because I’ve been trying to find the right words.
Today, after our final catering, I think I finally have them.
Banoi SoCal was never just a business to me. It was a passion project, a tribute to my mom, a way to share my culture, and a season of life that I will always be grateful for.
We took a chance. We worked hard. We served a lot of food. We met some incredible people. We laughed, learned, struggled, grew, and made memories that I’ll carry with me forever.
But as Banoi grew, I realized the cost was becoming more than I was willing to give up. Weekends and weeknights are prime time for food businesses, but they’re also prime time with my wife and kids. And at this stage of my life, I know where I’m supposed to be.
So with a full heart and a lot of peace, Banoi SoCal is coming to a close.
To every customer, friend, family member, employee, vendor, market organizer, and person who encouraged us along the way — thank you. Thank you for showing up, ordering food, sharing kind words, recommending us, and being part of this story.
I took the chance.
I made great memories.
I’m proud of what I created.
And I have no regrets.
