We love Randy! Someone who knows how to make an impact!

Drum roll, please… 🥁
We are excited to announce the winner of our Unsung Hero contest! After many excellent submissions, the person with the most votes was Randy Polston!

As Combined Community Services' Executive Director, it doesn’t matter what time of day he gets a call about a family in need, he will go out of his way to make sure that they have all of their needs met, including connecting with other organizations to get it accomplished. He considers this work his “mission field.”

He also serves on the Warsaw Community Schools’ School Board and spends his time ensuring that our students are safe and receive the best education possible.

In his free time every year over the holiday season, he volunteers as Santa (at no cost) for organizations all over the community including Sacred Heart and Warsaw Schools.

Finally, Randy is the sole caretaker for his wife, Rachael, who is a permanent resident at Paddock’s Springs. Every evening after work, he sits with her and feeds her/cares for her because she is unable to feed herself after suffering several strokes over a year ago. He is at the nursing home every day.

Congratulations, Randy Polston, and thank you for your years of service.

It is officially December 1st, and households are being visited by their Elf and others have started their count down to Christmas. This Christmas CCS would like to challenge you to add the The Giving Advent Calendar to your home or place of business. Instead of receiving you are giving to your neighbors in need. Throughout the month of December you will collect food items that will help fill the food pantry at the beginning of the year.

This is a fun way to keep the season of giving alive! Each day add an item to a box.
Deliver your box on 1/5/2023 to Combined Community Services at 1195 Mariners Dr. Warsaw, IN 46582.
