I know how you feel, poor little tractor๐๐
He can hardly wait for the day when he can plow the fields ๐๐จ๐ผโ๐พ
My little farmer cutting grass๐จ๐ผโ๐พ๐๐ He has patiently waited the last 3 years to ride that little tractor by himself. His feet๐ฃ can't even reach the platform yet. He's only 7 but i bet he knows more about farming than many grown folks โค๏ธ๐๐๐๐
Some random shots I took while Sam and I enjoyed a little walk around the farm before it rained this evening๐ Love this rain we've been blessed with lately. The poor trees and the pasture really needed it.

This is so awesome. I've never been there to actually see the births of any of our baby goats. Maybe next time.
Luna had her baby boy just about a half hour ago.
Been up all night (literally) trying to find out what is killing my chickens. No luck. The sneaky killer didn't show. Time to break out the game camera I guess . 5 chickens in 2 days :( I could really go for a coffee right about now!

Some of our newest additions here on the farm. They were a surprise to us all. Just came out from under the house! Now I know where they hide the eggs. Everyday is like easter egg hunting.
Absolutely love cooking outsideโก Inside the clay pot is aroz con pollo. It was sooo good.
Personally I think it was a bit excessive with the oil in the seasoning step. But other than that this is the way to care for your cast iron.
Care for your cast iron pan like a pro.

Fresh Eggs Daily with Lisa Steele
If you have a rooster, you can assume all your eggs are fertile. But in case you're curious, here's how to tell. And no, fertile eggs aren't any different taste- or nutrition-wise than nonfertile eggs. And yes, you can eat them.
Beautiful!

Dirt Cheap: The Best Frugal Gardening Ideas on the Internet - The Organic Prepper
Starting a garden costs money. Here are the best frugal gardening ideas that I've come across while setting up my own veggie paradise.
I would love to start doing this for my hens!
Check out which herbs I recommended in this piece I wrote for Bonnie Plants if you're planting your chickens their very own herb garden.

Yesterday. Today. Tomorrow. Every day is Earth Day to farmers and ranchers. The original environmentalists.
I love this. I currently make my seed pot with newspaper but they are round and bulky to store without crushing the little suckers. This I'm definitely going to try!
These can be folded in advanced and stored in the folded position to save space. Because they are biodegradable, you can plant the seedlings with their pot and don't have to disturb their fragile roots!

38,000 strong. And growing. That's women in agriculture. In Texas. And it's a trend that will continue, Shala Watson says on Texas Table Top. http://bit.ly/TTT041916
The fruits of my labor :) These tasty little morsels were picked from my Mulberry tree this afternoon. My father-in-law called it a Mora. I think I will turn these into some jam and put it on some homemade pancakes for breakfast on Saturday. Yum!!

On the farm. Or in town. Agriculture grows Texas. Sustainably. Itโs a message farmers and ranchers share. With neighbors and Congress. TFB President Russell Boening updates Texas Ag Talks. http://bit.ly/TAT041416
Love waking up in the morning to the birds chirping. Much better than the annoying sound of an alarm clock BUT this morning woke up to a helicopter literally 75 feet outside my window. That little sucker was crop dusting the cotton field and buzzing my house .
These 2 cuties are our newest additions here on the farm. They were hatched on Brianna's 21st Birthday!! I snuck 3 duck eggs under the mama hen, only 2 made it.
It's really amazing what my son can accomplish when I turn off the dang TV!! This is my "new" kitchen sink!!! I love it because I personally think its beautiful but most importantly because my son built it. He made it from old pallets and a sink that weighs more than he does! Can't wait for more additions to my outdoor kitchen!
