David and I had the privilege of collecting our brand-new 2017 Ford 350 Super Duty pickup truck today, which will empower us to haul our Market trailer and refrigeration trailer with renewed confidence. Our trusty 2011 Chevy Silverado 1500 had been facing numerous challenges since March, but its reliability issues paved the way for a remarkable blessing. The extraordinary story of how we acquired our new truck is a testament to the kindness of strangers and the power of community. Through the generosity of a dear friend, I was introduced to the Community Foundation of Western PA and Eastern Ohio, an organization that embodies the spirit of compassion and support. Their grant program, designed to uplift low-income and disabled individuals striving to establish or maintain a thriving business, was the catalyst for this incredible gift. My brother and I will eternally be grateful for this life-changing opportunity, and the kindness that made it possible will forever be etched in our hearts.
We will be back in Tractor Supply on Friday and then the Howland Farmers Market Saturday and the Hubbard Farmers Market on Sunday. We are open at the farm 7 days a week from 10 AM to 7 PM.
We are looking for some pickers for some evening hours beans being on the top of the priority list. We are coming into the heavy season of seasonal veggies so come on out to take a look of how we grow for your table needs.
