We set our sights on achieving AHIR Bronze status last fall by collecting and submitting as much data on the herd as we could manage. Along the way we figured out we could achieve Gold. Congrats to Greg, Peggy & Marshall for doing all of the data collection. They collected data on 13 of 17 metrics, every metric possible without outside labs or equipment. We might be on our 6th generation raising Angus but we're not resting on our laurels (or rears).

Docile cattle means you can work on projects with a gate open and not fear. But it also means you have to shoo steers away while you’re working so they don’t lick your tools. Pluses and minuses but we’ll take the problems of quiet cattle over problems of the opposite sort.

We do our best to ensure the bulls we sell are docile and respect fences…but sometimes hormones outweigh anything else. When the job needs doing, a McB bull will do it. Our customer at least found the humor and wasn’t upset.

This female is just a bit too young for our program or else she'd be bred and in a back pasture already. Tremendous calving ease and pedigree with Woodhill on top and bottom. Not a heifer anyone should pass up.
