We do our best to ensure the bulls we sell are docile and respect fences…but sometimes hormones outweigh anything else. When the job needs doing, a McB bull will do it. Our customer at least found the humor and wasn’t upset.

The bulls are tagged, they’re weighed and they’re waiting for Friday afternoon! Red looks good on the black hide and they’re ready to show off. It’s so close they can taste it! Or maybe that’s just good corn silage, either way it’s a good day.

The website has all the updates of the weights, scrotal measurements and calving. Hard copies will be at the registration desk on Friday as well.

If for any reason you can’t make the sale in person, please reach out. We will have people available to handle phone bids but setting that up ahead of Friday is best.

Congratulations to Trask Angus in South Dakota on their great sale yesterday and thank you for trusting McKean Brothers genetics. This lot 5, out of a bull we sold in 2024, was the 2nd high seller at $18,000!

Only a couple days til SALE DAY on FRIDAY! I'm pretty sure it's going to rain on Friday everywhere but 193 E. Zahniser so don't even bother planning field work, just come to the sale. Today the morning feature is Lot 4, a great calving ease sire with great individual performance. He went from 67lbs at birth to 1,334lbs at yearling, now that's a big spread.
