First time free ranging today… and they weren’t quite sure what to think 😅🐔
I left them out expecting them to go explore and enjoy all the space, but nope—they stayed right around the coop and run like “yeah… we’re good right here” 😂
It’s funny how something that seems so big to them takes a little time to get used to. Baby steps, I guess.
We’ll try again tomorrow and see if they get a little braver 🤍🌿

24 eggs are officially in the incubator and on their journey 🥚🐣🤍
These beauties came from Biddy Pines Silkies, and I couldn’t be more excited to see how this hatch turns out. Everything is set, and now the waiting game begins again 😅
I’ll be sharing updates along the way through the full 21 days—from candling to hatch day and everything in between.
Fingers crossed for a strong, healthy hatch 🤞🐔✨

Just wanted to share my four oldest grow‑outs 🤍🐔
These birds are extra special to me because they were my very first, and for that reason they’ll always be a little more cherished. Watching them grow and learning alongside them has been such an important part of this journey.
A big thank you to Sarah Beth Hall for these beautiful birds—we’re so grateful 🐔✨

Good morning everyone 🤍🐔
I want to introduce you to our eight little babies 🐣✨
We still have two left in the incubator that haven’t made much progress yet, so after work today I may need to check on them and see if they’re still viable… or maybe I’ll come home to two more surprises 🤞🤍
This has been such an incredible second hatch experience, and we’re so proud of how these little ones turned out.
A big shoutout to Kats Eye Homestead for producing these beautiful babies—we’re so grateful for the opportunity 🐔✨
I’ll keep everyone updated on the last two!

Our eggs from Biddy Pines Silkies are here 🤍🥚
They arrived super quick and every single one made it in one piece—always the best feeling when opening a box like that. You can tell they really take the time to package everything with care.
I did an unboxing and wanted to share it with you all because they even added a few little surprises in there ✨
And can we talk about the sticker they sent… it seriously hit the nail on the head 😂 it was like it was made just for me.
Because let’s be real—if I don’t have my Dunkin Caramel Craze Latte in the morning, I am NOT a very nice chicken lady ☕🐔😅
Can’t wait to get these in the incubator and share this next journey with all of you 🤞🐣

Nobody talks about this part enough… 😅🐔
Last night was one of those nights. We barely got all the chickens into the coop before the hail started coming down out of nowhere. Talk about cutting it close.
And of course… we forgot to close the windows 🙃 So now we’re dealing with cleaning up all the wet mess before the pincher bugs decide to take over.
It’s not always the pretty or peaceful side of homesteading, but it’s definitely part of it.
Anyway, here’s a picture of our grow-outs for tax 🤍🐔🌿

I can’t even believe I’m writing this… 🤍🐔
We’ve officially made it to earning Facebook Stars AND having the opportunity to collaborate with other small businesses.
In such a short amount of time, this community has shown us so much love and support. It truly means more than words can explain. We depend on every single one of you, and we are so incredibly grateful for each and every follower.
