Baron Bakery absolutely crushed it.
We stumbled across them at the Boise Flea Market and figured we’d grab a couple things to try. That quickly turned into one of those, “well, we’re definitely finding these guys again” situations.
We got the Biscoff cinnamon roll, the herb & garlic savory cinnamon roll, and two absolutely massive cookies.
The Biscoff roll was ridiculous. Soft, rich, loaded with frosting and Biscoff flavor without being so sweet that you tap out after two bites. But the surprise for me was the herb & garlic roll. I wasn’t sure what to expect from a savory cinnamon roll, but it WORKS. Cheesy, garlicky, herby, soft in the middle with those crispy baked edges. I’d order that thing again in a heartbeat.
And the cookies? These aren’t little coffee-shop cookies. They’re monsters. Thick, loaded with toppings and mix-ins, and somehow still soft inside. We grabbed two different ones and both were excellent.
Everything tasted fresh, homemade, and genuinely different from the usual bakery stuff you see everywhere.
If you see Baron Bakery set up somewhere around Boise, do yourself a favor and stop. Just don’t go planning on buying one thing, because that plan is doomed the second you see the display.
Easy 5 stars. We’ll absolutely be back.
