The fire never really goes out. We are back at it this Friday and Saturday for the Meat and Tater BBQ Fest and Car Show at Julius Kleiner Park in Meridian, ID. Over fifty of the best teams are rolling in for this one, and we are ready to put our best out there.

We are pumped such an awesome competition is in our own backyard and we can’t wait to catch up with old friends and meet new ones! Safe travels for everyone making their way to Idaho! If you’re in the area come find us, check out the car show, and enjoy a great weekend of Idaho barbecue.

We are firing up the smokers tomorrow for the Pits and Pistons BBQ Competition right here in Meridian. Everything kicks off at 10 am at Centennial Park. There is going to be a car show and a People’s Choice portion of the competition, which means you can buy raffle tickets to actually sample the barbecue from the participating teams who are taking part in the People’s Choice portion. Come hungry, check out the cars, and make sure to stop by the Iron Brothers setup to say hello.

There aren’t many better ways to spend a Friday night than tending a whole hog with good people who share the same passion for BBQ.

Huge thanks to Modern BBQ Supply for hosting another great Idaho BBQ Association Meat Up. It was awesome spending the night around the pit, talking barbecue, answering questions, and watching an entire hog transform into an incredible meal.

One of the best parts of the Idaho BBQ Association is that everyone is welcome. Whether you’re a seasoned competition cook, a backyard pitmaster, or just curious about learning BBQ, there’s always a chair around the smoker. If you haven’t joined yet, you definitely should!

Thanks to everyone who stopped by, hung out, and grabbed a plate. We’re already looking forward to the next one.
