We kicked off our kidding season last night. Trouble gave us quads again this year. 2 tiny girls and 2 big boys! First girl born was 1.8lbs then the second born was a boy at a whopping 4.55lbs 😳 then another girl at 2.1lbs. Followed by the last boy at 3.65lbs. These are our first Twin Pears Dreamy Enzo D’Orsi GIRLS!! As of right now they are both retained.

I haven't listed all the goats we have available yet because well... life! It's been a busy September with some of our kids transitioning to school outside the home and still homeschooling two. Well I've been trying to dry this girl off but every time I come out to milk she's as full as ever before 🤦‍♀️ even trying to milk her every 2-3 days she is still putting almost 4lbs in the pail. Normally I don't dry them off this early but she is SUCH a good mama that her spring doelings are still allowed to nurse if they are in the same pasture 🙄🙄 welp guess I'll give up and just leave them in a separate area and milk Trouble like normal until she is bred and 2 months out from kidding.

Yesterday was EPIC for these girls! Even Madelyn, Jane and Declan got to help show some goats for the first time. This youth show has grown to be my favorite thing ever to watch. These kids cheer each other on and it is so special to see.

Kalli won Reserve Grand Champion for Showmanship at just 8 yrs old! She also won 1st Place with R Arrows Ranch Jewel. Second place in the 3/4 yr old combined senior doe with Oak Apple Toffee.

Izabella won 1st Place 3/4 yr old senior doe, Reserve Grand Champion senior doe, then went on to win Overall Reserve Grand Champion and Best Udder all with Gillis Family Farm Trouble.
She also won 1st Place yearling milker with R Arrows Ranch Mocha.

Gwen won 2nd Place yearling milker with R Arrows Ranch Magnolia. 1st Place aged senior doe, Grand Champion senior doe, and Overall Grand Champion with Twin Pears W Cassiopeia.

They also entered in and won 1st Place

We had such a FUN day today! Being with my girls, our friends, and showing goats is where my heart is. There is so much I could say about these photos, but they just make my soul sing. Madelyn even got to show with me and play with her sweet friend Esme 🧡 Barbichette Goats

We got some second places, some 4th and some lower. Even though it was a small show, the competition was fierce.

We did end the day with a Grand Champion win for R Arrows Ranch Jewel 🙌 I knew the minute that girl was born, she was special. I had kicked myself so many times for selling her, and I was ecstatic to have the opportunity to buy her back a few months ago.
