Don't waste your time pulling out weeds by hand when they've already gotten established use a wire hoe instead!

Did you know that a passive solar Greenhouse can provide frost free weather in any climate in the US?

03/14/2026

Passive solar Greenhouse is a design element that allows you to grow tropical fruit and almost any climate in the us.

Through proper design and the use of multiple pieces of thermal radiation to maximize on your thermal capacity, you can effectively create tropical environments without ever having to use electricity.

A very important consideration when designing one of these greenhouses is that you need to calculate the solar angle at both equinoxes and solstices because if you don't shade out these thermal batteries you will overheat your Greenhouse in the summer.

When it's properly designed and you provide ample shade to the right areas in the summer those thermal batteries actually become cold sinks and passively cool the greenhouse keeping it much cooler than a standard greenhouse in the summer.

Here in southern Oregon that is a very important design aspect because we can get 110° weather in the summer which makes a normal Greenhouse far too warm to grow healthy plants.

Here is my testimony to oppose HB 4153.

Co-Chairs Helm and Owens, Vice-Chair Finger McDonald, and members of the House Committee on Agriculture, Land Use, Natural Resources, and Water:

My Name is Cory Bradley and I am a small value added farm producer with 2.5 acres and just under half an acre in production. I am writing to you today to express my opposition to HB 4153. Farm stands are a vital part of connecting the public with our food system and building an understanding of what it takes to go from field to fork, I personally plan on installing a farm stand on my street this year in order to help supplement the income from the farm. But HB 4153 would restrict who is allowed to have a farm stand, replace current definitions with Farm Stores, and give large land owners privileges at the expense of small farm stands in Oregon. We need to find a better solution and this bill cannot be passed. the livelihood of small farms and producers in Oregon depend on the denial of this bill.

I care about this because as a small producer I only bring in so much income from online sales and the farmers market and by having the farmstand on my street it allows my neighbors to purchase food directly from me rather than having to drive to the store which reduces environmental impact and supports the local economy.

The farm stand that i plan on installing this year would not meet the acreage requirements in section 2.2 of the bill and this directly impacts the profits I can make as a small farm.

Small farms need to have the same opportunities to sell their produce as larger farms and this new bill would put unfair treatment toward large producers and eliminate so much opportunity for small producers. Im all for creating more opportunities for agritourism but we cannot eliminate the opportunity for small farms like myself to serve the local community with fresh regenerative produce.

Small farms are actually vitally important to local economies. small farms are the ones who purchase goods from the supply stores and feed stores and they directly contribute the the health and resilience of local economies. if small farms die then that's less money at the gas station, that's less money at the hardware store, that's less money in the local banks and its bad all around for small producers.

By passing this bill it actually makes the local economy extremely fragile and weak because there are a lot less larger producers than smaller producers and those larger producers

What does it mean for you, your farm and your community if the primary purpose of a farm stand becomes agritourism events, not the sale of farm products?

We are asking you to not have a higher burden on the smallest farms. This bill takes away opportunities from small land holders and farms in order for larger operations to be able to host more events. This is not a good bargain for Oregon and a better deal must be found.

Thank you,

Cory Bradley

This bill is going to destroy small farms like ours.

If you support small farms then you need to act now and submit a response to this bill because if it gets passed farms under 80 acres and with less than 45 acres in production will not be legally allowed to have a farm stand...

That will absolutely kill the income from virtually every small backyard farm and homestead out there so if you want to make a difference then sharing this and submitting a response is going to make a huge difference.

⚠️ The Greatest Illusion of Our Time: The “Choice” You Never Really Had ⚠️

Think you’re choosing between brands when you shop?
Think again.

Nearly everything you eat and drink — from cereal to soda, chocolate to chips — is owned by just ten mega-corporations:
Nestlé, PepsiCo, Unilever, Coca-Cola, Mondelez, Mars, Danone, General Mills, ABF, and Kellogg’s.

They compete on the shelves… but not behind the scenes. It’s all one big corporate web — a perfectly engineered illusion of choice.

But here’s where it gets even deeper ⤵️

The seeds, fertilizers, and chemicals that feed this entire system? Controlled by Bayer (Monsanto) and a handful of other agricultural giants.
And guess who’s one of the biggest investors behind both the food companies and the agricultural suppliers?

👉 BlackRock.

BlackRock holds major stakes in nearly every one of the “Big 10” food corporations (except privately-owned Mars), as well as in Bayer, Pfizer, Merck, Johnson & Johnson, and even the world’s largest fertilizer companies.

One company — managing trillions in assets — sits quietly behind the global food supply, the chemical companies, and Big Pharma.

Is it coincidence… or control?

When the same powerful investors own the companies that grow your food, process it, and sell you the medicine when you get sick — maybe it’s time to start asking harder questions.

💭 The illusion of choice isn’t freedom. It’s strategy.
