Yesterday was National Farmers Day, I don’t typically get into “National Days” but I came across this scrap of paper written by someone who took the time and effort to show their appreciation. I’m asked all the time, why I choose this life, why I choose to farm, why I choose to open our doors every fall. This small note written on a piece of scrap paper is the very reason! Thank you Fischbuch family, you made my day and this token will be framed and hung on our wall as a reminder of your kindness to us.

I’ve had a long rough day, but I’m thinking there is a kiddo out there tonight who is having a hard time without their favorite companion tonight! Let’s get this little one back to her rightful owner. I’m cleaning up and going to be headed home and can head home through Wausau, Marathon, Athens and Edgar and will gladly meet you along the way tonight. If I don’t hear from you tonight, she will be safely tucked into bed in our lost and found for you to collect tomorrow when we open at 10am.

Live music starts at noon, wagon rides are going all day, and we’ve got plenty in the bakery to share! Don’t forget your pumpkins and apples too.

I just experienced something I’ve never experienced in my life!

A total stranger offered to help me load my water at Sam’s Club tonight. His kindness was so genuine and in the 45 seconds it took him to help me load 10 cases, it totally made my day! It wasn’t that I needed help it was that he took a minute out of his busy day to acknowledge me and made the choice to help me. So many times our blinders are on, take a moment to say something kind and lend a hand.

Fall is here! The leaves are starting to change and the cool breeze is feeling great. Sundays are meant for relaxing and today is a perfect day to experience our farm from a scenic wagon ride or easy stroll. Or maybe you’re more of a rocking chair person. Either way enjoy sometime outside today!

Last Call for U-pick HONEYCRISP, I just opened the last 4 rows up. When there done, we will still have gorgeous pre-picked HONEYCRISP available in our farm store. Along with MACINTOSH, CORTLAND AND RIVER BELLE apples.

We have plenty of U-PICK MACINTOSH AND CORTLANDS that will be available for several more weeks, but seriously this is the post that I tell you do NOT delay if you want to pick your own apples. Apples can’t be duct taped back onto the tree just to be convenient to your schedule, they are ripe and need to be picked before they start dropping to the ground.

Sunday, September 20th 2026 we are OPEN 10am-5pm today!
The sky’s have cleared and it’s going to be a beautiful fall day. I always say the best time to visit us is during a Packer Game!

We have UPICK MacIntosh, Cortland and Honeycrisp Apples
The Pumpkin Patch is OPEN
Sunflowers are past their prime but are still beautiful, the zinnias however just keep blooming and are spectacular!
All outside attractions are OPEN and are included with your Pick & Play Pass!

The Bakery is bursting with fall flavor, we have plenty of apple c***r and of course apple c***r donuts!
The Barn Cellar and Outdoor Patio has our signature cocktails

Saturday, September 19th 2026 its OPENING DAY of the Pumpkin Patch and U-Pick Cortland, we’re not going to let a little mist get in our way! It feels like fall, throw on the fall sweater you’ve been waiting to wear with your rubber boots and have fun today!

It’s days like today that are my favorite days for you to visit, everything is going on, you can still see the SUNFLOWERS, ZINNIAS, U-PICK HONEYCRISP & MACINTOSH, and now, PUMPKINS and U-PICK CORTLANDS! Of course we have all of our activities going on and you must check out all of our newest attractions!

The Bakery is warm, the Barn Cellar is serving great drinks, Bradley Spurger takes the stage at noon and today is the perfect day for an Ultimate Grilled Cheese! This is fall, enjoy it!

Zinnias are gorgeous and the Monarch Butterfly’s have not migrated yet.
Sunflowers are fading, the newest blooms are still gorgeous, just windblown from the storms earlier this week

Our Bakery is fully stocked, now is the time to stock up on all your favorite pantry products.
