Hey everyone! A lot of people have been curious what’s been going on with us lately so it’s time we made an announcement. Running a business is hard. Running a business during covid was even harder. Running a business in a tight economy has proved to be the hardest. We love everything that we have done and everything we have created over the years. We love the excitement of every customer that’s come through the door and found us. We love the relationships we’ve built and we absolutely love this industry. We love beer. Unfortunately love doesn’t pay the bills and with rising costs of operation we have to do what is right for ourselves and our families and cease operation in Merrillville, Indiana. Our last days open to come in and grab some cans and some pours will be Thursday December 21st - Saturday December 23rd. It’s only fitting that the taproom goes out the way we came in… with Jeremy Schmidt behind the bar. Let’s have fun one last time.

We know this sounds sad and likely will disappoint a lot of you, but rest assured we are working on an avenue to still bring your favorite Viking sours, seltzers and stouts to you in some fashion… just not as a taproom in Merrillville, Indiana. Until then Merry Xmas, Happy New Year and go support and appreciate your favorite local breweries. Chances are they need it. ⚔️🖤⚔️

As a small business with a small staff, the worst situation you can find yourself in is the one we currently find ourselves… we all got sick at the same time. These things happen and the last thing we would ever do is risk our customers health so we have opted to close through Sunday to allow everyone time to get rested and feeling better. Our new goodbye Travis event date will be posted early next week. Stay healthy out there friends!

It’s with sadness we announce that our Bartender Travis will be leaving us after the next two weeks. He has been a huge part of the Viking Family the last two years and has made so many great new friends and relationships. Come out and wish him well Thursday, Friday, and Saturday the next two weeks.

We will be having a Going Away Party his last night November 18th, let’s send him out with show of huge love and support.

He is behind the bar till 8pm tonight and ready to take care of any of your Viking Needs. Drink it ⚔️
