Spent the past few days trimming trees and cutting a few down. A few oaks are rotted on the inside and a good wind storm will bring some down. Have to take preventive measures. Used a 50 foot boom lift.

Beautiful early morning launch of Space X Crew-12. And just heard the sonic boom of the first stage returning. The video is the first stage falling back to earth. Video is from our home/farm.

Finished installing the irrigation. 10 sprinklers with lots of water being thrown out. Took 5 days, about 2 hours per day due to it being too hot for working any longer. 1.5 inch main distribution line, 3/4 inch branch lines.

First rented a trencher from home depot. Then about 7 trips to home depot for various parts. And one final trip to home depot to return all the extra parts we bought. (Typical home project scenario that I'm sure many of you can relate to.)

All is good. Now onto planting the 6 new trees.

The season is almost over. Remaining fruits are Calamansi (Calamondin), Logans and Duhats (Java plums). These will ripen late July.

Vegetables did better this year, still picking basil, peppers, tomatoes and long beans.

Spreaded more fill/dirt yesterday but had to quit due to a large line of approaching thunderstorms. About 10% left to spread. After the fill, will put in the irrigation and plant the 6 new trees.

Have a great, fun and safe Summer.

Quick status
* vegetables are doing better than last year. More tomatoes and more longbeans. Other crops are still behind our expectations.
* Lychees are producing more fruit, but still losing about 70% to squirrels, raccoons and others.
* Mango trees had tons of blossoms but minimum fruit.
* strawberry tree has lots of fruit and more blossoms.
Remaining fruit trees are coming along.

Purchased 6 trees at the brevard tropical fruit club - 2 sweetheart lychees, 2 - mangos, and 2 - sugar apples. I have to install irrigation first then will plant the trees.

Making room for more trees. Cut down 4 rotten oaks, removed the branches over house, and trimmed the branches to thin out the trees so wind can pass thru them easier. Had the stumps ground down today. And purchased 6 trees at the tropical fruit tree sale - 2 lychees, 2 mangos and 2 sugar apples.

Next steps are final grading, installing a new irrigation zone, and planting the 6 trees.

Fruit trees are doing well. Lots of Mangos. Lychees and longans are developing. New for this year are Chicos. Trees along the drive are producing. And the Saresa (strawberry tree) has hundreds of blossoms and developing fruit.

Quick update. Vegetable garden is doing well. Always using organic fertilizers, this year using fish emulsion and seaweed emulsion to feed the plants. And bone meal, blood meal and a general organic fertilizer to feed the soil.

Long beans looking good and lots of blossoms. Peppers and tomatoes are looking good. Harvested some basil and cilantro yesterday. And the cat is enjoying the cat nip.

The leaves bed is ready for watermelon.
