**"Pigs, Prayers, and Pandemonium: A Tale from the Farm"**
Yesterday was one for the books. I found myself constantly looking out the window because our pigs were making an unusual amount of noise—and it sounded *way* too close for comfort. But every time I checked, there they were, behaving like model swine citizens.
Then our neighbors showed up, asking, "Have you seen our pig?" *Light bulb moment.* I peeked out the window again, and sure enough, we’d gained a visitor. And not just any pig—this guy was a *massive* boar, giving our boar a run for his money (and probably for our sow’s heart).
In the pouring rain, we tried to convince him to return home, but he wasn’t having it. So, we decided to call it a night and regroup in better weather. Today, the real comedy began: ever seen a group of determined humans try to load a colossal pig onto a trailer? Spoiler: it’s not a graceful process. I lost track of how many times I just had to stop and laugh.
Meanwhile, our sow was *unbothered.* She followed me back to her pen with a food bucket like the queen she is. The boar, however, had other ideas, taking off into another neighbor's pasture mid-rescue. It was chaos. It was hilarious. It was farm life in a nutshell.
As I headed out to help again, I remembered Genesis 1:26, where God promises us dominion over all animals. I decided to pray—because at that point, why not? And wouldn’t you know it, *the boar just walked home* like a well-behaved porker after that!
Moral of the story: farming is equal parts faith, frustration, and funny moments. Thank you, Jesus, for answered prayers and pigs that eventually cooperate!
Would you have laughed or cried in this situation? Let me know in the comments—and don’t forget to follow for more farm adventures, because there’s *always* something wild happening out here!
