ve a long history - while gingerbread houses and sugar cookies may be a Christmas tradition in some homes, many native Louisianans have a different tradition for the sweet treats that they will be making for their holiday festivities; and that is the praline. Pralines candies can be found as a part of any Louisiana families’ holidays and festivities. We add cream - which is different from the original recipe - we think that you will love the difference - in fact, we think that this why this confection is famous! Clement Lassange was the inventor of the praline, a sugar-coated almond. The candy was named after the inventor's master, Marechal du Plessis-Praslin.Today, we not only use cream, we have also started using local ingredients: pecans and brown sugar.
