One of the main heart’s behind the whole operation! We’re so proud of Jarrod Creasy and cannot wait to watch him shine with the wonderful folks at UF!!
We would also like to say we consider him much more than a grass farmer but he does keep everything lush and loves to describe our incredible vegetation as the “salad bar.” 🦆
It’s Small Ruminant Short Course week! We’re excited to welcome invited speaker Mr. Jarrod Creasy. Here’s a little more about Jarrod and his experience in the small ruminant industry. 🐑
Jarrod Creasy co-owns Marbled Duck Ranch and Nine Twenty Processing, a fully integrated livestock and protein business based in Southeast Georgia. What started as a cattle operation in 2014 has grown into a multi-species enterprise spanning cattle, sheep, hogs, and horses, including a USDA-inspected processing facility with a go-to-market strategy that encompasses direct-to-consumer, chef + restaurant, and grocery + retail outlets. Lamb is the largest growth component of their integrated protein story. Jarrod studied Animal Science and Soil Science at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College in Tifton, Georgia, and describes himself first and foremost as a grass farmer: every part of the livestock operation is built on the foundation of good grazing and soil health. He has served on the NCBA Young Cattlemen's Council and as part of the Advancing Georgia's AgriLeaders program, and brings a hands-on, ground-up perspective to conversations about building a fully integrated protein business... from the pasture to the processing floor to the customer's plate. Jarrod and Becca live in Metter, Georgia, with their 9-year-old daughter, Finley, and credit their team for making the whole operation possible.
