Some of my happiest, and also hardest days played out here, on this farm.

I can milk cows in my sleep, but when I learned to pasteurize, process, and bottle the milk, it became a whole different ball game...I had a love/hate relationship with pints of chocolate milk 😬 Hence the scannable chocolate milk pint label tattooed on my arm.

I haven't had to set my alarm for 1:50 a.m. since we sold. I preferred processing early. The hours before dawn and the farm coming to wakefulness hit different. Most days I was done pasteurizing and started cooling milk in time to go outside and watch the sunrise.

There are certainly things I don't miss, farming is hard! BUT, I wouldn't trade any of it, for anything 💙 -Karoline
