Don’t mind me as I admire my first litter of lilac Rex. Slovak’s IH38 had a beautiful litter by Ridge Runner Rex’s Ford. I am thrilled to see how these nuggets grow.

Despite the crappy rainy weather this weekend we managed to finish planting! *except we now have 12 empty spots and I neeeeeeed to add something else. I think I’ll get more tomatoes so I have enough to send some to my parents houses.

We welcomed 9 Rex babies this afternoon out of an amber doe and a lilac buck ….. hoping for some lynx-y things.

Sway is our Amber Queen and she is due today for a much anticipated litter that I hope contains lynx. She weighed in at 11 pounds 5 ounces a week or so ago and has gained @1 pound. She has consistently kindled between 5-7 kits with a previous owner and had 8 her first litter here. Let’s play a guessing game… how many kits do you think are bouncing around in there? I’m guessing 9 !

Got a bit more planting done after work. The snap peas are already sprouting up. Still have a bit to finish it up but I’m loving how it’s coming together so far. All the following have been or will be planted: peas, snow peas, green beans, cucumbers, brussel sprouts, broccoli, beets, carrots, garlic, sweet onions, pumpkins, yellow squash, zucchini, spaghetti squash, big boy tomatoes, Amish paste tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, green peppers, jalapeños, okra, corn and sunflowers for the bunnies. We also planted 100 strawberries and 5 raspberry canes which are not pictured here.

EDIT TO ANNOUNCE WINNER:
AJ French guessed the exact weight at 750 #!!! Unfortunately, I did have to make 2 trips. What isn’t shown in the photo is the 5-7 boxes that were on the back side of the pallet.. BUT we got all of it in except 1 box and all the nesting boxes. So yes, we did indeed have to go back for a second trip. Thank you all for participating!!
