Cauthorn Farms

Our corn pile queen had a birthday last week. A mysterious neighbor decided to gift her with an Employee of the Month scoop.

Now she can clean up her own messes.

The best napping spot.

In the last 3 years Cauthorn Farms has planted 15 trees. Lots of them in our yard. Red Buds, Maples, and mighty Oaks.

However, we have grown our orchard over generations.

If we can make on suggestion- go buy a couple of fruit trees today and plant them. Some of our trees are 15 years old and some are 3 years old. We will add 5 trees to the yard today.

If you live in Mexico and follow our page run to Hickory Ridge and grab a few. They are small orchard we love to support.

Especially with the rain tomorrow-today is the day to plant for years of fruit to come.

Praise be the Lord! We are thankful for some rain.

Any other totals from across the state?

We could really use some rain. We have not finished harvest, but we are prayerful for moisture to replenish pastures and nourish the ground.

Also, so that Clarissa doesn’t have to wash clothes on two cycles from soybean dust and so the combine filters can get a break.

If you ever wonder if Clarissa took the day off and was asked to help- just follow the piles.

This is what Sundays are made for.

We read somewhere this week, “Someday you realize that the hard stuff and the good stuff are usually the same thing.”

We can’t stop thinking about it.
