Happy Mother’s Day to all mamas. Especially our own farm mama who checks cows with babies on her back, packs snacks, and always makes sure the laundry is done.

That little white thing is the start of a corn plant. That little seed will make a whole plant and ear of corn.

We put a lot of faith into the weather and this little thing.

We like to plant our soybeans into standing cereal rye.

Some call us crazy. We find it to be a good way to keep our soil in place and help our fields dry out a little better when it’s too wet in the spring.
