Laying more beautiful hay down today! This years theme seems to be "mow with any tractor except the mower tractor", but look at how different the 870 looks without the loader on! We'll make sure to send a "get well" card to the 2096 as it enjoys its R&R time at the shop

First hay cut for the 2024 season! This is a little earlier than we normally start, but I had been offered to do a little custom work, so we decided to get that done before our hay is ready! I was thinking I'd be the first one on the block to put hay down, but 3 of our neighbors were out mowing today, guess they must've seen our mower hooked up and got nervous😂

And just like that our ground is fertilized! Not an ideal situation to be spreading at night, but sometimes you have to do whatever necessary to get the job done! I did finally get sick of it, so went and finished at grams this morning, my sidekick was happy to come along for a ride too!

Fun day today cleaning out our barns! We sweep the floors in our hay mows each spring, and while some farmers just take and burn the chalf, we see it as an opportunity to get some equipment out and give it a test run before we get hay down! So into the spreader it goes, make a pass down the field, rake it up, and into the baler it goes! Bring on the warm weather and let's get into the field for real!
