Maggie got to meet the calves today, who were very curious why this wolf like creature was trying to kiss them!

Out spreading fertilizer today! A little later than I would've liked, but there is never a bad time to do a good thing!

Something that popped up on my Google photos memories the other day was this adventure my dad and I went on. Somehow these pictures were taken 5 years ago, doesn't seem possible.

Kind of cool little background to our wooden kicker wagon is that its running gear originally was under a Dion chopper box that our neighbor had. When it got to the end of its life my dad made a deal to buy the gear out from under it, so we went over and pulled the box off and pulled the gear home. Looking back I'm not sure why we threw a chain over and pulled it rather than just using the loader to push it, but I guess there must've been some reason. I can vividly remember driving over in 3rd gear because we had the chains on the tractor, sure don't miss messing with those chains.

Anyways, the gear has been good to us and the wagon we built has been good too, however if I had to guess I'd say that kicker wagon is probably going to become a flat wagon here pretty soon, that's a story for another day.

There's just something about a kicker baler that is so beautiful to me, wouldn't it be weird if we baled hay without the kicker?

I'd also like to add that the 995 was not thrilled about being woken up from hibernation!
