Hey guys. My first post here. 43 year old embarrassed dad, to 46 year old fit dad. When the motivation wears off and it will, let discipline and dedication take over, you can’t expect to undo years of abusing your body in a few months. 1 year apart, never felt better and won’t ever go back💪🏽

Not really any mad lifestyle changes I just stuck to 3 things consistently👍🏼
Adding onto the post because people are asking

-My split is Push, Pull & Legs and then a Rest
- I try to fast everyday until past lunch around 1pm to keep insulin down and use up my stored fat
-Weight training burns as much calories if not more that cardio
-Anyone looking into adding cardio should look into steady state cardio as it oxydises stored fat instead of using your blood sugar so you don’t feel depleted in turn then is more effective for fat loss
-Only eat carbs before and after training sessions to fill glycogen stores and help build muscle, building more muscle will then help you burn more fat because you essentially have a bigger engine burning more fuel

At 50 years old. 6 months - from 240 to 198. Calorie deficit, macros, 10k steps a day, gym 3 days a week. I’m nothing like some of the amazing transformations on here, or compare to some of the studs on here either. But I’m putting in work. At 50, and still trying to work on balance of mental, physical, and spiritual growth.
