Loving these sweet, laid back salmon faverolles! My poor boy lost his comb points in the arctic blast, but he doesn’t let it slow him down. The girls are great layers of light brown to pinkish eggs. This French breed is renowned for the flavor of their meat, so they’re a great dual purpose option for the homestead. They’re also a great option for exhibition and children. They were selectively bred for confinement, so no need free range unless desired. I’ll be offering hatching eggs and chicks from these beautiful birds throughout the remainder of the season

First baby chicks of the season! This was honestly my best hatch I’ve ever had. ALL of the chocolate and chocolate-split chicks made it out of the shell! And I hatched a few project lavender-split marans chicks too. Yay for baby chicks! 🐣 💕

Proper nutrition is everything - for ourselves and the animals we care for!

I want to give my breeding birds the best chance at producing healthy chicks. 🐣 This is where Fertrell comes in.

Commercial feed is convenient, but it is lacking key nutrients. Everything that the unborn baby chick needs during incubation is in that egg yolk. Offering optimum nutrition to my breeding birds gives their chicks the best chance during incubation of getting to hatch day. This powder supplement is easy to mix with feed and the chickens think it’s a treat! ❤️
