Burrata with Strawberries and Basil 😋🍓🙌
One of those recipes that looks restaurant-worthy, yet is incredibly easy to make.
➡️ INGREDIENTS ⬅️
For the chutney:
- 10 strawberries 🍓
- 2 tbsp balsamic vinegar ☑️
- 1 tbsp honey 🍯
- A pinch of red pepper flakes 🌶️
- A pinch of salt 🧂
For the fresh strawberries:
- 6 strawberries, thinly sliced 🍓
- 1 tbsp honey 🍯
- 1 tsp lemon juice 🍋🟩
- 1 tsp lemon zest 🍋🟩
- Fresh basil leaves 🌱
- A pinch of salt 🧂
To serve:
- 2 burrata cheeses 🧀
- Extra virgin olive oil 🫒
- Toasted bread 🥖
Instructions
1️⃣ In a skillet, cook the strawberries for the chutney with the balsamic vinegar, honey, red pepper flakes, and salt. Once it starts to simmer, reduce the heat and cook for about 15 minutes, or until it reaches a jam-like consistency. Let cool.
2️⃣ Combine the sliced strawberries with the honey, lemon juice, lemon zest, basil, and salt. Let marinate for 10 minutes.
3️⃣ Place the burrata on a serving plate and gently open it.
4️⃣ Top with the strawberry chutney, the marinated strawberries, and finish with a drizzle of olive oil.
5️⃣ Serve with toasted bread and enjoy.
