Our Story

Big Cypress Distillery was founded as a family affair. Over the years, cousins Fernando and Mark spent many a holiday together, sharing experiences over cold drinks. Inspired by today's craft movement and a glass of Triple Smoke Malt Whiskey from Corsair Distillery, Big Cypress was founded in 2015 as a Miami, FL-based craft distillery focused on distilling innovative and high-qua

lity spirits. The name Big Cypress name derives from an appreciation for the outdoors and an affinity for Everglades backcountry fishing. We plan to impart the same passion we share for the outdoors into our spirits. Our mission is to:

Support our communities by being environmentally responsible and sourcing our ingredients from similarly-minded local vendors;
Never compromise on quality;
Strive for innovation while respecting the tradition of American distilling;
Be transparent with respect to our process and our ingredients. We hope that the love we have for where we're from comes through in our craft spirits.

This weekend, we’re turning the volume up and slowing the world down for a proper Bring Your Own Vinyl Hi-Fi Party at the distillery. Think rich analog sound, handcrafted local spirits, and a room filled with people who appreciate music the way it was meant to be heard.
We’ll be spinning the timeless electricity of Jimi Hendrix, the swagger of The Rolling Stones, and other rock ’n’ roll classics. Bring a record you love, cue it up on our Hi-Fi system, and let it ride!
We open at 5pm. on both Friday and Saturday.

Pass by for a free tasting of our latest whiskey, gin and liqueurs. Also this weekend, the distillery cocktail bar goes into the hypnotic sounds of trip hop and acid jazz! Deep beats, jazzy grooves, and moody melodies that hit just right with a cocktail in hand.
From Portishead and Bjork deep cuts to head-nodding acid jazz rhythms, these nights are all about sharing records, discovering new sounds, and letting the music take over. Bring your favorite vinyl (rare cuts encouraged) to contribute to the jam. As always, you’ll find a chill crowd, good drinks, and zero pressure. Doors open at 5pm. on both Friday and Saturday.

How to use it:
• 0.25 oz in 6 oz Prosecco or Champagne for an instant floral lift
