Sorry, another day of rain made it just too wet to reopen tomorrow, Sunday, October 11th! We will be CLOSED Sunday, Oct 11th, 2026 but we will reopen next Saturday, Oct 17th!

🌱 How’s the maze looking this year? 🌱

We plant a mix of sorghum and sunn h**p because growing traditional corn can be challenging in Florida. Sorghum is a tall grass related to corn, and sunn h**p is a legume that helps add nitrogen and organic matter back to the soil.

This year, God blessed us with just the right rain, and our maze is standing about 7–9 feet tall! 🌽

After 18 years of making beautiful memories at C**n Hollo, now Red House Ranch, we think it’s about time we introduce you to the family behind the farm. ❤️

And there’s no better place to start than with the man who, back in 2009, didn’t even know what a corn maze was.

Meet our daddy, Jack Williams.

When we first shared our idea of opening the farm for families to visit, Daddy may have had his doubts about why anyone would want to come spend their day on a farm. But even when he didn’t quite understand our little agritourism dream, he wholeheartedly supported us and helped in any way he could to make it come true.

Jack was the third generation of our family to call this farm home. He spent his life farming and ranching right here in North Marion County. He was a beloved member of our community and was active in McIntosh Methodist Church, the McIntosh Lions Club, and Marion County Farm Bureau.

More than anything, Daddy was a hardworking, humble, and kind man who truly loved his neighbor as himself.

After a long battle with dementia, we lost him in January of this year. While he may not have understood the idea of a corn maze at first, he came to love watching children run and play on his hay bales, feed the cows, and make memories right here on the farm he spent his life caring for.

So when you visit Red House Ranch this fall, we hope you’ll enjoy this farm as much as he did. Every hayride, every child feeding a cow, and every family making memories here helps us continue something that became very special to him.

We are proud to carry on his legacy and share the farm he loved with all of you. ❤️
