I made this wedding cake for my good friends Stacie and Scott Johnsen. It's a bit harder baking with a 6-month old in hand, but I think it turned out beautifully and I'm so thankful for the help of Heather Wilks and Valerie Buscher. Valerie made the middle layer of this cake which was white cake with strawberry filling, frosted in swiss meringue buttercream, and Heather helped me set it up at the venue and taught me how to arrange the flowers since this was a first for me! The top layer was red velvet with cream cheese filling and flour frosting. The bottom layer was chocolate with fudge filling and swiss meringue buttercream. The whole cake was covered in marshmallow fondant. I hope it was yummy!

Wizard of Oz themed cake. We won't discuss Toto except to say he looked a little more like a pig than a dog I think!

My very first wedding cake! I have to admit the design was entirely stolen. My mom found this design and made almost the exact same cake a couple months ago for a wedding. Since I had familiarity with how to do this cake, I wanted to stick with what I know for my first wedding cake. The lovely bride let me do my thing with the cake and flowers, so I was very relieved. I was also nervous about delivering this cake on such a hot 90-degree day, but it arrived in one piece and didn't melt! phew!!! Congratulations, Sonja and Terrance! I hope you enjoy your evening!

I donated this cake for a fundraiser for Andrean High School. It's for a 16-year-old boy's birthday and made to look like a Lebron James shoe box.
