Hoosier Star Finalist Spotlight 🎤🎶 Grace Ott

Grace Ott grew up in LaPorte, where music quickly became one of the brightest parts of her life. Inspired by watching the LPCSO, she began playing violin at age 10 and still plays today. Her love of singing began in church, and once the “singing bug” bit, she said yes to every opportunity that followed: talent shows, Arts in the Park, LaPorte Little Theatre productions, and even a locally filmed movie directed by John Hancock. In college, Grace widened her musical horizons through private voice lessons, an a ca****la group, and a three-person opera. Hoosier Star also played a huge part in her journey: she was a youth finalist in 2010 and returned as the youth winner in 2012.

She would like to thank her family for encouraging her from the first note she sang. She would also like to thank her husband, Drake, for reminding her to keep doing cool things as an adult too!

Get tickets to see Grace and our other fabulous finalists on September 12th! https://lcso.net/concert-tickets/special-events/hoosier-star-event/
