Hi to anyone that does not know me 👋🏼 My name is Sammy and I am the baker behind Lil Biscuit Bake Shoppe! As I’m hitting 6 years of starting my home bakery, I figured maybe I’ll finally post a little bio so you can get to know my story and meet the face behind this account 🤗
As a kid, I was always baking for my family. In 2013, some friends that were like family asked me to take a cake decorating class taught by their aunt and I absolutely loved it. I learned so many new skills and it opened me up to learning even more.
In 2020, after telling my bartending job of almost 3 years that I was pregnant, I was fired 2 weeks later. I was freaking out that no one would hire me in my “condition” and I didn’t know how I was going to make that extra income for our growing family.
One of my super talented best friends (🫶🏼 you!!) and I decided to start a home bakery together like we would always talk about. We decided on the name Lil Biscuit Bake Shoppe with “Lil Biscuit” as a reference to my first born aka the bun in my oven 💙 Although she is no longer a part due to starting her own family, she will always be my second opinion on speed dial 🤣
Somehow I am just super blessed to have a very supportive husband and 4 amazing kids and we had them all in 3 years… yes there is a set of twins in there 😂 My bake times are when they are sleeping so I don’t miss out on time with them!
If you couldn’t tell by now, social media was never my strong suit 😅 I would much rather be living life instead of taking and posting pictures but that’s kind of the gig lol
I am a licensed home bakery and I am not a gluten free facility. However, I can make decorated sugar cookies and most cake gluten free!
I recently started using my 20 years of experience teaching dance toward teaching cookie decorating classes and it’s been so fun! Definitely DM me if this path sounds like one you would love to be on too!
