Old leaky valves waste resources. So we are replacing the worn out leaking butterfly valves to get every drop of water where we want it.

Our farm has witnessed a considerable turtle 🐢 presence over the last week, with a daily spotting occurrence. The turtles have been diligently laying eggs.

As you can tell turtles are a good representation for our logo. We see them quite often, but this year we've seen the most!

Keith spotted the new queen and caught her. Then we mark her with the corresponding color of her birth year for easier spotting.

Next we place the queen in a special cage and put her back with her bees. She will be released in a day or so.

In hope, by doing this, the bees will like their new "home" and decide to stay

Swarming is a natural process for honey bees. Despite the Beekeeper's best efforts to provide a suitable environment, the bees will leave when they deem it necessary.

Keith spotted the swarm less than 20 feet from our bee hut.

The image below shows a swarm temporarily settling before moving on to a predetermined location.

So what do you do?!

Catch them, of course!
