Last week was my annual kitchen inspection for my cottage bakery license. Every year, my kitchen is inspected to ensure it meets the requirements for safely producing the breads and baked goods that make their way to your tables.
While the beautiful loaves, golden crusts, and fresh bakes often get the spotlight, there's a lot that happens behind the scenes to keep this little business running. From ingredient storage and sanitation practices to organization and record keeping, maintaining a licensed home bakery takes dedication long before the dough is mixed.
This kitchen may not look fancy, but it's where every loaf is mixed, shaped, baked, and shared with love. 🍞💕
