Happy Farm Stand Eve to those who celebrate! We have bagel and muffin galore over here tomorrow 🤗 Introducing 2 new flavors….Pumpkin Maple & Bacon Cheddar and yes they are as good as they sound! Bacon Cheddar are perfect all you have to do is throw an egg in there and you have the perfect bacon, egg and cheese and Pumpkin Maple….just throw a little Cinnamon Sugar butter from the cooler on there and you have a yummy fall treat 🎃 I’ll also be whipping up a fresh batch of whipped tallow today. I will have very limited jars available so get here early to get your hands on a jar or 2!

Farm stand will be open at 8am sharp. Early birds get the best selection so be sure to set those alarms and stop by 😊

Just a reminder that eggs are CLOSED for the season. I only added a handful of new girls this spring that will get my family through the winter. The rest of the girls are molting and taking their much deserved winter break. We do not supplement with light over the colder months which allows our hens to put their energy toward their molt and regrowing their feathers. Now, if by chance I have extra dozens they will be offered to my regulars on my egg list. Thank you 😊

Also, please remember that this week’s farm stand has been moved to Sunday October 25th and will be open at 8am sharp. I have added Banana and Banana Chocolate Chip Muffins to this week’s menu so be sure to stop by 🤗

Good morning friends! This week’s farm stand is being moved from Saturday to Sunday. My cold house had my starter give me a bit of trouble yesterday so it set me back a day of prep. With that being said this week’s farm stand will be Sunday October 25th and we will be open at 8am sharp. Set those alarms early birds get the best selection 🤗

Kalamata Olive & Parmesan 😍 I had a couple left over after yesterday’s Soule Harvest Fair and I’m glad I did because this was yummy!

The Farm Stand will be OPEN this Saturday October 24th! I will be releasing my planned menu for that tomorrow morning. I will NOT be accepting preorders on farm stand weeks, moving forward everything will be first come first serve. I will be opening the stand at 7:30am sharp so set those alarms early birds get the best selection 🤗

HUGE thank you to my husband who came home and did the Fall coop deep clean yesterday and as you can see the birds were very happy about it. One of the best way to keep your birds healthy is keeping their living space clean. We practice the deep litter method in our coop so we deep clean twice a year, spot clean weekly and add bedding as needed throughout the year as it gets low. We switched to h**p bedding last year because it is less dusty, it’s light and compostable and it was definitely the right decision making cleaning much easier.

Dozen of the day 😍 I filled the last of my egg orders today. Just a reminder that I am closing eggs for the time being. If I have extra dozens moving forward I will reach out to my egg list or you can find them in the cooler on farm stand days. Thank you 😊

Good morning and happy Monday! Next up we are at the Soule Homestead Harvest Fair Saturday October 17th from 10-4. I have attached my planned menu for this event but don’t worry if you can’t make the market I will be accepting preorders all week for pickup at the farm stand Saturday morning. Thank you 😊

Sad news: We unfortunately lost 2 of our chickens this weekend. Our silkie rooster Casper and a Swedish flower hen Rosie. While our chickens are a source of food for us I would be lying if I said I didn’t cry a little every time we lost one. I have hand raised about 95% of our current flock from babies so it really saddens me to lose any especially two of my favorites. Casper was actually the only rooster I’ve ever spent money on and instinctually he was the best rooster we had on duty. Rosie was 1 of 4 Swedish flower hens we added a couple of years back and she was the runt of the group so would always gather at my feet when I came in the coop. Some people say they are just chickens but when you spend as much time with them as we do you do develop a fondness for each one as you come to discover they each have their own little personality. With that being said a loss does create stress in a flock because believe it or not chickens do mourn each other so we expect a drop in egg production. So, I will be filling the last of my orders this week and shutting down eggs for the time being. I will keep you all posted.
