The Tipsy Terrier Brewery had the pleasure of participating in the 23rd Annual Middlebury Chamber of Commerce Dinner and Business Expo this past Monday evening. We enjoyed meeting fellow business owners and attendees who stopped by our booth. We appreciate all the interest in our business and how it's coming along. While we couldn't give out free beverage samples, we were able to hold a drawing for a free Tipsy Terrier shirt. Congratulations to Darla Kauffman, who won the drawing this year! We look forward to the future opening of our business and becoming a contributing member of our wonderful community.

To our Middlebury friends, a thirteen year old boy is missing. His dirt bike was found parked in the alleyway by our building at 106 Wayne Street.

People are out looking for him. If anyone has seen anything, please contact the search coordinator.

Over the weekend some of our Tipsy followers rode, walked or drove by while I was out weeding the landscaping. I heard so many encouraging words and genuine enthusiasm for us getting our business going. So we wanted to update the rest of you who didn't happen to go by over the weekend. We submitted our plans to the State for review in late April. In mid-May, the State responded back with a couple of questions. Our architect got right on it and returned a quick response. The ball is back in the State's court. We appreciate all the love and support from our loyal fans and can't wait to open our doors one day and enjoy our time getting to know each of you better. Thank you for continuing to follow us, encourage us, and remind us why we wanted to start this adventure in the first place. We look forward to updating you with better news soon.

WE ARE EXCITED TO SHARE SOME PROGRESS WITH YOU!

Our architectural stamped drawings have been submitted to State for Review. This review process may take up to 3 weeks for approval and release. Once we get that, we can finally get our building permits. Please keep in mind that even with our building permits, we are still months away from completing all the construction and being able to open our doors.

We appreciate all the hard work from our team: architect, electrician/plumber, brewhouse specialist, kitchen designer and our engineer friend, Kaitlyn. This has been a LONG, hard process and we appreciate all of YOU for continuing to follow along and encouraging us.

Let's all raise a pint in hopes that our design falls on the desk of someone at State who is already having a VERY good day and is feeling kind and generous. CHEERS!

Mr. Tipsy's Facebook memory this morning was our beloved Aster girl performing a QC check on a batch of her namesake beer - Asterbock. Aster crossed the rainbow in 2024. We miss her dearly.

Things are progressing at our brewhouse - just much slower than we would like. Today, we signed a design agreement with an architect who is helping us clear some permitting hurdles. Please don't ask when we are opening because our best guess now is 2026..ish.

We want to apologize for our extend silence of late. Progress on the Brewhouse has been halted as we work through several construction roadblocks. We are hopeful that progress will resume soon.

It has been a frustrating experience. We grew discouraged and didn't know what to tell everyone.

Please be patient. Once we have things back on track, we will let you all know

Your continued enthusiasm is much appreciated. We can't express enough our appreciation for all our fans.

Mrs. Tipsy has been busy working on a possible new image for our Lucky Louie's Two Gun Ale. We love the current label but we fear the government won't.

While progress is still on hold at our brewhouse, we want to share some awesome news from one of the other new local breweries.

Ivy Alley Social House opened their doors a few weeks ago with bowling and sharing guest beers. They are gearing up to brew there own. Check out this awesome video.
