is looking for a new "barn" to live in! Can you help?
The two orgs who founded + co-hosted the event for two years- and the Connecticut River Watershed Farmers Alliance–have decided not to continue organizing the event.
While both orgs wholeheartedly agree that is a fun event showcasing the best of Vermont agriculture, food, and dairy, it is no longer sustainable for them to take this on. There are various reasons for this, including staffing and board changes, as well as recognition that the scope of the event exceeds their core missions.
While it is sad news, their decision is one we fully understand, support, and even encourage. It's not easy to run a nonprofit, and sometimes you have to make hard choices about what you can reasonably accomplish.
👉With their blessing, we're now looking for a new home for . If you know of any organizations that might be interested, please DM us or reach out to Sarah Audet at [email protected]. We can set up a time to chat and see if it's a good match.
All of this to say, will not happen this spring, and it very likely will not happen at all this year. But with any luck, we'll find a new home for it in time for it to happen in 2024!
For now, we'll keep our social media accounts semi-active, and we hope you'll continue to use the hashtag in all your farm and food posts.
