It’s been a while since we have made pasta in our house - but - Maevis has been asking NON STOP… so today - she made it happen.

She prepared our dinner by making the pasta for spaghetti. It’s crazy - but back to the basics is what really helps me feel grounded. Helping her with this dough felt nice.

Again — thank you ALL for all your support regarding our break in trust over the weekend. We were out a significant amount and it was not just one source. We have a pretty good idea where a chunk of it went - but we have not quite figured it all out.

It really warms my heart and helps bring back that sense of community reading all your support💛

IMPORTANT MESSAGE BELOW

It’s not a perfect picture - but it captures life perfectly, enough.

The rainbow at the end of the weekend - heading in the direction of the farmstand - was exactly the sense of lightness that we needed after what felt like a pretty big break in trust to our system.

This weekend was WEIRD. We have always put a lot of trust in our community and have received more love and support than we could ever describe.

When putting this message out there - we want that to be at the forefront of it all:

Trust & Gratitude. We have SO much of that for all of you!!

I’ve been anxious about posting this - as I don’t want to deter our customers from coming. We LOVE and appreciate you all - AND- we absolutely could not keep this going without you continuing to show up.

HERE IT GOES: We still have not received payment for a substantial portion of the product that was moved out of the stand this weekend. We are aware of some of the missed payments / but it’s still not adding up and we are currently making our way through all of the farmstand video footage to piece the puzzle together. This is a time consuming process - and more frustrating than anything else.

We do our very best to gift multiple community loaves/week. We are at over 100 between our donated loaves and community gifted loaves. We want to be able to continue to give back - but we won’t be able to if we don’t receive payment on the stock we have intended for purchase.

Going forward:

—> PLEASE write down what you are taking from the stand and if your Venmo is pending.
Even if we have an agreement - even if you’re using a gift certificate - it’s important for us to be able to track what is leaving. We can see many instances where it was not written this weekend, as well. That is adding another layer of confusion.

—> We will be relocating and adding more cameras to be able to capture a full picture of product leaving the stand.

—>We rely on the weekend farmstand - as it has been a big and successful part of our business adventure from the start. We do recognize that our system flow leaves us vulnerable to dishonesty and theft - but we will continue to move forward (a little more proactively) with trust in the bigger picture.

If you *forgot* to pay this weekend - please be sure to do so.

A FEW QUICK UPDATES!

Hi all - thank you for your patience with us — and for continuing to show UP!

1. K has been navigating a little bit of a hip injury and whenever one adult is down in our house - the kids largely out number the standing adult. Everyone is home right now — so the house has been in a bit of survival.

2. Our response time has been longer than usual - and again - we appreciate your patience.

3. We have noticed a few non payments over this last week. We see this rarely - maybe every once in a while — but this weekend it has been pretty significant. Enough to add up to a good percentage of the revenue for our weekend. We believe in the good of everyone and we are hoping to see payments come through soon. We know that the service isn’t always the best here — and we do understand making payments when you are in a better service location. We will reach out to those of you that we know haven’t paid by the end of the weekend.

Once I am back from deliveries and the bread is cool enough to bag - it will head into the farmstand.

The farmstand will be fully restocked with fresh bread by the afternoon.
