I’m Sicilian and Spanish, but I grew up surrounded by my big, loud, and loving Sicilian family (the kind where everyone talks with their hands and you never leave hungry). They emigrated to the U.S. in the early 1930s—my Nani was pregnant with my mom at the time, the first of three strong Sicilian daughters. I’ve been lucky enough to visit San Vito Lo Capo severa

l times, and every time I am there it feels like home. The views are breathtaking, the sea is impossibly blue, and the people greet you like family. And the food? Don’t even get me started. Now, I’m hoping to share a little slice of that magic right here in Idaho—from my kitchen to yours.
