Today we planted one bed of Salanova and one bed of spinach. Tomorrow we will be cleaning up around the edges and planting more. The seeder pictured is a Jang JP1 and it is a great time saver. We planted 6 rows in each bed and even with the change in seed it was less than 5 minutes total.

This year our first developed a grass issue and rather than fight it all summer we tilled it under between spring and summer crops and put plastic down to kill anything that came back up. The tunnel has been closed for two weeks and the temps have been over 120 in the afternoon consistently. We will be removing the tarp, flame weeding and starting planting this week. Daily updates of the progress and all that takes coming.
