Back to learning for Miss Prim. This was after several back and forths. She wasn’t wanting to walk away from the barn and then was trying to rush back to the barn, spinning around me and bulldozing ahead as soon as she realized I was turning her.

So we worked on her not turning INTO me and respecting my space and also being mindful of when I stopped and stopping with me. I’m pleased with how quickly she realized what we were doing. Now to get her forward movement less sticky.

I love that I’ve desensitized them all to the point that I don’t even think twice about throwing a bale down right in front of my 6 month old, while she’s tied. There was a time where all three of the horses would spin or run out of the barn whenever I would throw a bale down.

Eventually I’d like to move their hay feeders to the back corners and make drop chutes at the back of the loft, but just one of a million projects I want to do!

I’m reaaallly itching to ride my mare again. She’s never been a fan of me being on her naked back, so for her to tolerate this is so encouraging. I laid across her back multiple times but I didn’t feel like giving you all a rear view of me doing it 🤣🤣🤣

Another two batches of soap made today!

A single batch with the Mahogany and Teakwood fragrance and a double batch of Juniper Berry & Cedar!

What should I name these two? I’ve already made a batch of the Juniper but they had the cute Christmas tree embeds. This scent is wonderful though so I needed to make more because I imagine it’ll be a popular one!
