I have been eye balling a little label maker lik this for a while, so I decided to try this one. Anyone else who makes goods for their farmstead/homestead use something like this? I’ve been using my cricut but sometimes it’s just so time consuming and ordering is fine but I’d rather be able to customize and quickly make a label for things.

This one has good reviews and is at its lowest price in the last year.

Next up is Brownie! He’s my little guy, but the two babies he had this spring are wonderful!

Just checking their Famacha score, which is the color of their eyelids to asses their red blood cell production which can help in determining worm loads. The lowest Famacha score is white, and is a reason to act quickly. This is what I was dealing with with Hopper recently. A goat’s Famacha should be a darker pink color when checked.

I started a worming protocol as I waited for f***l results as All the boys were pretty low and you don’t want to wait if they are that pale. It is suggested when worming that you worm first then again in 10 days in order to get the multiple stages of eggs/worms in the goat’s system.

**** I am not a vet so this is not advice on how to treat your goats, seek your own advice when necessary.

Another long day in the books. I left the barn this morning at 5 am and returned home just before midnight. A long 16 hours at work plus the commute, and my brain didn’t math so I left a little too early this morning.

Either way, here’s a quick glimpse into my night because… there’s some cute moments, but I’ll share them in more detail when I’m not exhausted tomorrow.

Just a reminder that, even though I was have to plan ahead and put the babies with their moms so milking wasn’t necessary and the horses and goats are able to wait a bit for their food… they still had to be fed, no matter how tired.
