Owen is just such a great balanced personality in a lab. She’s athletic, loving, a pleaser in her dog groups and with people. She has a soft and sweet personality. Owen is out of Rainmaker’s working class payday MH and Torgs Southern comfort Dixie. Owen is a half sister to our Wade sharing the same dad.

I love a social dog but when I call them I need to know they are going to come. Preacher put himself in a couple of dangerous situations on Tuesday by just not coming back. I got out treats and we worked hard Tuesday and Wednesday on recall, sit, stay and lay down. The basics being solid are so important. I then got out the collar I didn’t think I’d ever need and set it as low as I could to get a reaction. Thursday we were back out and working off leash. Worked like a charm and I couldn’t have been happier. Sometimes you have to step back and address the problem. He’s a great dog but he can’t just do whatever he wants. I feel like 8-12 months you can really hit these kind of situations the most. It’s about listening so we can do fun things with other dogs and be safe. By the way this black and white dog isn’t one of our group but he she joined us at Barstow and had a good walk. This is one of our goals.

Dillon is out of Foster and Kelso. She is such a funny and very social dog. Caleb and Ella take her so many places and have worked really hard on her training and it shows. Dillon is a delight to have around.

Wade will a lot of times make the retrieve on a goose by grabbing it in the arm pit of the wing and body. I feel like it makes it hard to see where she’s going but she get the job done.
