It’s that time of year! Super excited, just loaded the incubator with some chickens that I don’t see around too often
🐥Pita Pintas : “A very old local dual purpose breed from Asturias in north western Spain, this striking bird is not mottled or exchequer but has its own individual black and white feather pattern. Laying approximately 250 smooth creamy eggs per year, this breed is hardy and friendly, lays well in winter and seldom goes broody. We will have a limited amount of pullets available during the summer.”
🐥 Lemon Cuckoo Niederrheiner: A dual purpose breed originating from Germany. They lay approximately 200 light brown eggs per year. Niederrheiner chickens are docile and calm, making them delightful additions to any backyard flock. They are known for their easygoing nature and are generally well-behaved and friendly towards their humans and other chickens.
