Anyone else on the crazy bandwagon of adding raw egg to your coffee??

🙋🏻‍♀️ I’ve been doing it for the last weeks and let me tell you, I won’t be going back to regular non egg coffee. I know some people just do the egg yolk but I do the full egg and it really does make a difference. The coffee doesn’t upset my stomach anymore, I don’t feel a hard crash afterwards and it’s so velvety 🤤 I’ll post a video tomorrow of how I make it to get that extra velvety texture

Still looking for one sign up to close this class out!

🐔 Due to all the great feedback on my chicken processing post, we’ve decided to move forward with a Chicken Processing Class!

Whether you’re thinking about raising your own meat birds or just want to learn how the process works, this class is designed to give you the confidence and knowledge to do it yourself.

Each participant will receive an information packet covering topics such as:
• Most cost effective feeders and waterers
• Recommended videos and resources for building a chicken tractor
• Feed recommendations
• Processing tips and tricks
• Raising meat birds from start to finish

During the class, you’ll process 5 chickens that were raised by us. We’ll walk you through the entire process, including the easiest methods to dispatch, pluck, and clean your birds. We’ll also discuss how to get the most value from each bird and what can be done with all the “extras” that often get discarded.

We’ll cover proper collong, including rigor mortis and why proper resting time matters. You’ll also learn how to break down a whole chicken into individual cuts, which helps explain why many farms choose to sell whole birds rather than pieced-out birds.

The class fee covers:
✔️ Up to 2 people
✔️ All birds used during the class
✔️ Take-home materials
✔️ Use of all equipment
✔️ Our time and instruction

What you’ll need to bring:
• A medium-sized cooler filled with ice
• Gloves (optional- I personally don’t use them)

If you’ve been curious about raising or processing your own chickens, this is a great opportunity to learn in a hands-on, supportive environment.

Feel free to message me with any questions!

I want to give a huge shoutout to White Store Processing! Derek has been nothing but helpful with our first go at meat pigs. Our schedules have been wonky the last few weeks and he’s been so flexible and today was supposed to be the day to finally get the pigs to him and there were issues with loading- I guess you’ll have that when you have a massive pig that wants to do her own thing 😑. Here’s to hopefully getting them loaded tonight and it be less eventful 🤞🏼🤪

Just gauging interest in a possible idea! 🐔

One thing I’ve learned is that a lot of people love the idea of raising their own meat birds, but processing day isn’t exactly everyone’s favorite part. So I’m curious, would anyone be interested if I offered poultry processing services?

The idea would be simple: you raise your meat birds, and when they’re ready, you bring them to me. I would process them and have them ready for pickup the next day. I could package them whole or cut them up into parts for an additional fee.

I’m also thinking about offering:
🐓 Processing classes for anyone who wants to learn how to do it themselves.
🐓 On-farm lessons where I come to you and teach you how to process your own birds.
🐓 Help and guidance for first-time meat bird growers.

This is just an idea I’m exploring right now, so I’d love to hear your thoughts. Is this something you’d use? If so, how many birds do you typically raise at a time?

Feel free to comment below or send me a message. I’m curious to see if there’s enough interest to make this happen! If you know me you know I love processing day and I would love to make this more accessible to people, everyone deserves to know where their food comes from!

We’re living in so many answered prayers right now, and I always try to remind myself of that. In everything around me, I can see God’s hand at work.

Yesterday we spent the day building the babies a tiny run so they can enjoy the beautiful sunshine safely, and for the ducks to get their feathers wet. 🦆 🐥

Yesterday they were a little skeptical but today they were all about the grass, sunshine and water ☀️ 💦

🔊 volume up to hear all the baby sounds, even a human one at the end 😂
