James River Equestrian Center in Midlothian , VA is now hiring. The first position is for our riding school. The days needed are Monday through Friday. Hours are preferably 1pm - 5 pm but this could be done a bit earlier if needed. We can use one person for all the days or use different people for different days. Must be comfortable around horses. If you wanted to take lessons but couldn't afford them, we can do some barter! Or we can pay......
The second position is for our boarder barn. Horse experience is a necessity. We are in need of people to feed, turnout, sweep and fill barn waters. We need people to be able to do weekend work. Must be 16 yrs. or older. If you wanted to take lessons but couldn't afford them, we can do some barter! OR we can pay!

James River Equestrian Center is looking for a Sunday morning feeder at our boarder barn. There will be a helper but you will be responsible ( long with a helper) for feeding, bringing horses in, water, hay, some stalls.. Hours are 7am - 10:30 Sunday am. Horse experience is necessary but we will train. PM me if you are interested and want to get more details!

James River Equestrian Center ( the riding school), is looking for a pony or two. They can be older, serviceably sound. Just need to be able to jump cross rails. If anyone know of a horse or pony that would be safe for children and looking for a new home, please pm me! Thank you!!!!!

The James River Equestrian Center is looking for someone to join our team! The James River Equestrian Center is a 22 stall facility that averages around 35 horses located in Midlothian, VA. Primary responsibilities include maintaining the property by mending the fence, spreading manure, and dragging the riding rings, so experience driving a tractor is required. Candidate will also help with feeding, horse turn out, and mucking stalls, so horse experience is also required. This is a 5-6 day a week position. A 3-bedroom apartment can be included as part of the pay. Candidate does not need excellent English skills, just a good, hard-working attitude! We currently have a couple spaces for field board for geldings. Our field board includes hay, grain, water, blanketing in the winter, bringing up and holding for the farrier. Basically all the same services minus a stall. The price is $325/ mth. We also have ONE stall available ( price is $485/ mth). Also only room for a gelding. Our mare fields are full. I want to thank Joey Elswick and the rest of the creative crew from the play "Equus" for making this video for us..............It was a dreary, rainy day when they made this video. It served very well for the play and has touched my heartstrings. This has been my "home" for 20 years this spring. I am a lucky lady indeed.
