Galts Gulch Farm is happy to announce we have a few remaining heirloom lettuce for sale! 🥬
These have all been started from seed on the farm using our custom starting mix. They were then grown in our regenerative garden that uses amendments from nature. Lots of fall leaves make these lettuces incredibly mineral rich.
We use:
- No toxic chemicals
- No pesticides, insecticides or any other cides
- Regenerative practices that make the soil better each year. We support over 30,000 worms + a healthy honey bee population.
- All natural amendments (leaves, cocoa shells with organic compost)
- A diverse ecosystem for wild life. We host many birds, snakes, voles, owls and lots of healthy bugs.
Varieties:
🥬 Grandma Hadleys Lettuce($3.5 per head) An old American variety that was passed down by Flossie Cramer. A bit on the sweet side. Great in a salad!
🥬 Aunt Mae’s Bibb Lettuce:($3.5 per head) Another old American variety that has been around since at least 1937. Very crispy and fresh. Great on a sandwich or as a lettuce wrap for burgers.
🥬 Forellenshluss Lettuce($4 per head): This is our pride and joy. An old Austrian variety. Incredible butter taste. Amazing colors.
