Raising chickens is about more than just eggs—it's about joy, control over our food, and serving our community in a small, personal way. Through a “pay what you wish” approach, we make fresh eggs accessible to all, including giving to those in need. Half of what customers donate goes towards monthly chicken care, and the other half rewards Millie for her hard work. She divides her portion into thirds: give (Woodford Co Humane Society), save, and spend.

If you're chicken curious and thinking about starting your own backyard flock, know it’s a labor of love (and a total privilege). It’s daily feeding and watering, cleaning up chicken p**p, gathering eggs, corralling your feathery friends, keeping an eye out for predators, tending to injuries, and breaking the ice in winter (or getting creative to keep their water from freezing). Plus, you’ll be checking for frostbite on their waddles and combs, serving up cool treats on hot days, and, best of all, cuddling your chickens and laughing at their quirky antics.

The girls are laying again!🥚☀️🐔
We have some beautiful, fresh eggs from our backyard chickens in Midway! They free-range daily and enjoy certified organic, soy-free feed (living their best lives, really 😄). We usually sell by the half-dozen, but can do a full dozen as well. We have a "pay what you wish" approach, so just let us know if you’d like some! 🍳 🐓

Fresh backyard eggs from Midway, KY!

Our happy hens roam freely daily, enjoying lots of yummy bugs and certified organic, soy-free feed. Pay what you wish, with a suggested donation of $3-4 per half-dozen.

Crack into kindness with eggs that give back: Each carton donation supports happy chickens, Millie's loving care and hard work, and a portion is given to the Woodford County Humane Society! You can also find our eggs in the blessing box located at Midway Methodist Church (when it’s not too hot/cold) and by request!
