Just some pictures from the farm showing progress as we start getting into the growing season in earnest. Garlic and Rhubarb are doing well and the recently transplanted Sweet Yellow Spanish onions are coming out of dormancy and starting to grow. We will start pulling Rhubarb in about 8-10 days. If local or driving through our area and interested in super nice rhubarb give us a heads up. We traditionally have as nice as rhubarb that can be found. We will be planting more seeds this week as the forecast is for warmer temps for the next couple weeks that shout get us into the frost free zone into the middle of May. This year we will have some neat tasty heirloom tomatoes including Pineapple and Amish Paste. This year we're planning to have butternut and a real nice serving size winter squash that we're excited about. Anyone can purchase from us throughout the growing season if looking for quality stuff. We're not big shots and always have time for people. Just give us a call anytime and you can also purchase any of our specialty gluten free jams, spreads or vinaigrettes directly. Just some pics from our small farm in Mifflinburg Pennsylvania showing the Garlic and rhubarb starting to grow in earnest. We're getting are onion beds prepped for planting transplants next week depending on weather, We'll also be having our Tomato and Pepper seeds started within the next week for transplanting the 3rd week of May. traditionally, the middle of May is the time when we get the majority of our seeds planted like beans, sweet corn, zucchini and winter squash. In addition, we have to continually cultivate to mange weeds. We will trial some new heirloom tomatoes this year that we think we'll like. Not only are we passionate developers and producers of our line of fine specialty wholesome gluten free food products , we love to experiment with new tasty dishes, desserts and fine foods. When we find something that is uniquely exceptional we'll share the recipe on our website Recipe Page to see.

So, this is our first attempt at Bruschetta Chicken and it is a keeper! It was absolutely delicious! The only thing we would add is a good garlic bread the next time around. We will definitely share this recipe on our website Recipe Page soon.

Just some pics from our small farm Golden Harvest Acres in the beautiful Buffalo Valley near Mifflinburg, Union County Pennsylvania. We've been taking advantage of the nice days to get some preliminary work done as our annual clean up of our 2 acre managed Black Walnut grove which is developing very nicely and increasing in value every year. We have top dressed our garlic beds and doing the initial cultivating pass. We have our onion transplants ordered and should receive them the second week of April. We'll soon be starting our tomatoes, peppers for transplanting the 3rd week of May after the threat of frost has passed. Since we don't use row cover we're not in a hurry to get things in the ground. We'll also have gr. & yel. zucchini, cantaloupes, sweet corn, yel. wax beans and broccoli and cabbage for the fall. Of course we traditionally have extremely nice rhubarb available for purchase by the middle of May. We are a premier grower of high quality vegetable crops and available for direct sales for families and small business searching for quality produce. Much of what we grow is used in our gourmet gluten free food products. And, now we have the undefeated "Barbaro" helping out with property security.
