Zucchini season is here!! Last year my plants fizzled out due to the weather so this spring I planted 23 plants!!! WHY??!? 🤣 Needless to say, the stand will be stocked daily with green and yellow zucchini squash! My favorite recipe is Zucchini Relish that was passed down from my aunt and my mom 💕. I’ll post the recipe later today if you wanna give it a try! It’s delicious! 🤠

Self-Serve Farm Stand officially opens Friday, July 3rd! 😊

Fresh grown produce 🫑🌶️🥬
Fresh herbs 🪴🌿 and
Fresh baked goods 🧑‍🍳🍪!

So far I have bell peppers, sweet banana peppers, jalapeños, some sun sweet cherry tomatoes and a lot of fresh herbs to include parsley, thyme, cilantro, several types of mint, basil, dill, oregano and a mountain of lemon balm.

Most items will be in coolers due to the heat. Herbs wilt easily so please comment if you want any and what type 🤠🇺🇸

I love being able to cook with what’s in my garden, and right now spinach and strawberries are in season! This is a simple salad with fresh spinach, sliced strawberries and I like to add some candied pecans and tortilla strips to add some crunch! Some rotisserie chicken and a simple homemade dressing makes a great high protein meal! Dressing recipe is in the comments section. Try it and let me know what you think!!

The weather has been perfect for growing and everything is popping up beautifully! Veggies and flowers will be in the farm stand soon and possibly some baked goods and sourdough 😍

Today was finally nice enough to start getting the soiled tilled and about 150 onions plants in the ground! 🧅 Hoping for giant award winning onions again this year 🥇 Enjoy some photos from previous years 🙃

There’s a perennial herb already coming to life in the garden! 🌱

Comfrey is the first to wake up and some years stays green all winter long. Along with local horse and chicken manure, Comfrey plays a major role in the fertilization of my entire garden. I do not use any insecticides, pesticides or commercially purchased fertilizer. I guess you could call that “organic” farming, but I don’t want to make any claims that I’m not 100% positive on. Comfrey is also a good medicinal herb if you’re into that type of thing.  I’ve infused comfrey oil to use on muscle strains and inflammation but it should never be taken internally or on open wounds.  Here’s some information about this herb, if you would like a start of it for your garden, just let me know!
