Dave and I made our little farm stand from a discarded wood pallet and discounted fabric from Walmart a few years ago.
We’ve had so much fun growing beautiful tomatoes and the best cucumbers in West Milan, New Hampshire.
We started this hobby only wishing to make enough in our lock box to pay for seeds the next year.
Then, our world came crashing down when we suffered a heartbreaking loss of a woman we loved like a daughter… who we met because our shared love of salsa verde, and farming lessons from another culture.
We continue to heal. There is something special about earth, seeds and nourishment you grow yourself. It makes things feel better.
More, there is something about our neighbors who are kind enough to wave, to return our containers to help us save money and to slip and extra dollar or two because they say they can see us working hard.
More still you help by plowing us out, watching our dogs when I have medical appointments or leaving us love notes and beautiful gifts just because.
Thank you neighbors, friends and customers.
See you next year. God willing.
