🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸We would like to introduce the newest member of the Batesville Police Department, Zäh! Patrolman Trevor Comer has taken on the position of our K9 handler and will now be seen around town with his new partner. Zäh is a 1 year old Dutch Shepard mix from Hungary and is trained in narcotics detection and tracking. We are very excited to have him as a new team member! HELP WANTED. HELP WANTED.
We are currently seeking a hard working individual to join our team at Wayne’s Meats. This is a meat processing plant. We are state inspected. Our workday can start as early as 7am and end as late as 6pm.
This position is PART TIME, with a potential for up to 35hrs per week. There will be NO set schedule and you must have open availability Monday thru Saturdays at noon. We are closed on Sundays.
You MUST be able to lift 40-50lbs plus repeatedly. You MUST be able to work in freezer temperatures as needed.
You MUST be dependable.
You must be willing to be trained in all areas as needed, not limited to, but including: various meat processing equipment, cash register, & computer.
You must be willing to follow all safety and sanitation guidelines.
You must be willing to submit to a drug test.
This positions starting pay is $10hr with an increase after 90 days based on performance and attendance.

All employees at Wayne’s Meats would like to thank everyone for their patience and kindness during this super busy season. It’s because of you we are essential and it’s because of God we have had the endurance to keep going everyday. We are still taking quarter and half beef orders, & for the 1/2 hog special. Please know we are about 4 weeks behind on beef orders filled as of now. Our retail store is open regular hours and has a variety of pork cuts available. If you’d like to schedule a beef for slaughter, we are 16mos from now in 2021. We do not have our answering machine on as of yet, but you may call anytime during business hours and if we’re not on the other line, we will help you.
