Green update!

We’ll have mustard greens starting tomorrow(Monday), it’s larger than we thought, we’ll also have turnip greens.

Sold by 2lb grocery bag full for $5, we do make up for water weight with extra.

Recent years we’ve packed it full, with rising costs we’re having to go by pound this year. I know many will be upset but this is one change we have to make to continue doing what we’ve been doing for years.
They’re picked the same day they’re sold and 95% de-stemmed in the field while picking.

We will have turnip greens tomorrow, Friday! Should have them daily from here on out.
Mustard still likes a little growing.
We won’t have enough to start bushel orders, that will be later around October.

Season is quickly dwindling down for summer crops. We expect watermelon season to end here in early September.
We will be sold out of cantaloupe for now, I will be posting if we ever get anymore.

We still have plenty of our regular produce tomatoes, yellow squash, zucchini, okra, ect.

Looking for an extra hand for picking greens.

This is a part time position, hours vary daily.
Need to be able to follow directions, work in a timely manner, carry up to 40lbs, reliable transportation, with a driver’s license.
It’s best if you’re located near the Atwood area.

It’s a good easy side job for extra cash. Should have anywhere between 2-3 months worth of picking.

Work will start mid to late September, maybe sooner depending on when our crop comes in good and sales spike.

We have bulk deals today on $18 20lb box yellow squash, $20 bushel bell pepper, $15 peck jalapeños, and $12 peck chili pepper while supplies last! Limited amount.

We just started picking our crop of pumpkins and will have plenty!
We checked on our mum grower, mums are coming along great. We’ll have everything we have yearly. Mums, a ton of different pumpkins, cornstalks, other various fall flowers, and ornamental corn.
Look forward to fall produce. Apples, sweet potatoes, greens, and turnips.

Gonna make it a huge year! I have lots planned, lots to choose from, and giveaways planned to give back to our amazing customers!

$4 a dozen on corn while supplies last! Variety is obsession, very close to peaches and cream taste.

This will be the last time this year that the trailer is loaded down. Melon season will start cutting back next week. Should have cantaloupe a few more times.

I’ll make a post as soon as we start picking should be within the next two weeks.

We managed to get early greens up this year! We have 1/4 of the field up, should have the other 3/4 up by early September

We’re gonna have 2 locations up and running this year if we can find an extra hand for picking and our crop does better than last year.
Our usual spot in Milan and a spot in Jackson.

I’ll be taking bushel orders on both types this year including purple top turnips. So be ready to fill those freezers! I had several message before thanksgiving, unfortunately usually the 2nd hard frost takes them out. So don’t wait this year.
